LASER RESURFACING

  • Laser Resurfacing is a treatment to reduce facial wrinkles and skin irregularities, such as blemishes or acne scar.
  • With time and ageing, the outer layer of skin shows evidence of wear and tear. These present in the form of wrinkles, blemishes, sun burns and pigmentation.
  • Laser resurfacing delivers short and concentrated pulses of light that gently remove damaged, scarred or wrinkled layers of skin, stimulating collagen productionand encouraging skin regeneration, ultimately restoring a more youthful, healthier and beautiful complexion.

THE TREATMENT

  • Mr Mattine uses the Era, an erbium laser beam and considered a new revolution in ablative skin rejuvenation. The treatment takes place either in his clinic or in the hospital depending on the extent of the treatment.
  • This can be done simply with application of topical anaesthetic creams in the outpatient setting or under general anaesthesia when combining it with other cosmetic facial procedures such as facelift or blepharoplasty.
  • You may hear a snapping sound or notice a slight stinging sensation during the treatment. Following the treatment, the skin is likely to be red and needs to be well hydrated with frequent application of moisturisers for about 7-10 days.

CANDIDATE FOR LASER RESURFACING

  • Those with fine and medium depth facial wrinkles, particularly around your eyes or mouth or on your forehead, shallow scars from acne, or non-responsive skin after a facelift.

Era®
Excellence in Ablative Skin Rejuvenation
Profound Rejuvenation in a Single Treatment

The Era represents a new revolution in ablative skin rejuvenation. The Era is a highly versatile resurfacing tool with an unmatched margin of safety and minimal downtime– resulting in better patient outcomes in just a single treatment compared to traditional lasers. This is considered the most advanced device for ablative skin rejuvenation with the advantages of allowing evenly ablating the tissue, eliminating collateral damage to the surrounding tissue and minimising skin’s recovery time.

  • Complete Artistic Control and Customised Treatment Results – each patient receives a customised, tailored treatment based upon their skin’s needs. Partial area ablation is possible due to the absence of post-treatment demarcation lines from thermal damage. Traditional ablative lasers needed to treat entire areas to cover-up demarcation lines caused by excess thermal damage. This, in turn, allows for customised treatment solutions with minimised downtime.
  • Precise Depth of Ablation with Predictable Results – the precisely controlled pulse depth ensures full epidermal ablation without damaging the dermis, eliminating prolonged periods of downtime without sacrificing results.
  • Maximum Results, Minimal Downtime – results are achieved in a single treatment session. The lack of collateral damage helps accelerate healing, boosting patient satisfaction.
  • Total Rejuvenation, Not Just Fractionated – complete epidermal renewal in a single treatment instead of multiple treatments and periods of downtime with fractional devices.
